About me
I help you plan your individual safari and support you from the first idea to the final itinerary.
Tanzania has long been more than just a travel destination for me. The vast landscapes, fascinating wildlife and unique atmosphere of this country have left a lasting impression on me.
Tanzania – a connection that has grown over time
My first trip to Africa took me to Kenya in 1994. Even then, I was fascinated by the continent's incredible wildlife. I returned to Kenya again in 1996.
In the years that followed, my travels took me to North and South America and many other parts of the world – including some colder destinations.
In 2019, I returned to Africa, this time to Uganda. Namibia, South Africa and Botswana followed before I finally travelled to Tanzania in 2023.
This country touched me in a very special way: its unique nature, the diversity of its national parks and the warmth of its people. During this first photography trip, I developed a deep connection to Tanzania that has remained to this day.
Since then, I have returned to Tanzania again and again and have experienced several safaris in different seasons – both individually planned and in groups.
These experiences have shown me how different a safari can be and how much good and honest planning can make a difference.

Based on experience
I have travelled through Tanzania both independently and as part of organised groups – in different seasons and for trips ranging from six to fourteen days.
I realised again and again that many safaris are designed around short six- or seven-day itineraries. Personally, I prefer longer trips that allow enough time to experience the landscapes at a relaxed pace, observe wildlife more intensively and discover lesser-known national parks.
These experiences now shape the way I plan trips.
My role in your trip
I support you in planning your individual safari and help you turn your ideas into a trip that suits you.
I work closely with Safaris Mate, my experienced local partner in Arusha. Safaris Mate takes care of the organisation and operation of the safari in Tanzania.
